From an early age, Ed has been intrigued by anything mechanical - the bigger the better! Fascinated by the world of flying, he regularly attended airshows since his early teens and, when given the opportunity to work at Gatwick and Heathrow Airports later in life, Ed jumped at the chance.

There aren't many people who look forward to going to work everyday, but Ed realised how lucky he was to stand at the edge of one of the World's busiest runways and experience aeroplanes taking off and landing only a few yards away - including the irreplaceable Concorde!

It was some years before Ed was able to experience anything that came close to those fascinating times - not until FiveFiveEight thundered past - WOW!
